Foreign investments in Albania, more than €1 bln for last year

Foreign investments reached a historic high last year, going above 1 billion EUR.
Recent data from the Bank of Albania show that foreign companies have invested more than 1 billion EUR in the Albanian economy, 13.5% more than one year ago.
However, the total figure of foreign investments covers a structural weakness, since a very small part of this money went for the manufacturing sector, which increases the production base of our economy.
Detailed data show that most of the foreign investments are made on energy, oil industry, real estates and the financial sector.
