DP warns to boycott parliament if government refuses agreement for vetting of politicians

The Democratic Party sent only one member to the Commission of Laws, Oerd Bylykbashi, who stated that the opposition will boycott the Parliament if the government refuses to allow the Democratic Party’s proposal for vetting politicians.

The Socialists say they agree with the initiative, and they would even accept to extend it to the relatives of politicians, but they disagree about the Constitutional amends.

“We want to respect the regulations and the Constitution. This would mean interfering with the basic law”, said Ulsi Manja.

The parties agreed only about the questions that they would send to constitutional experts.
