It has risen to 766 the number of affected by the new coronavirus in the country, as 16 new cases have been confirmed in the last 24 hours.
Dr. Eugena Tomini from the Institute of Public Health provided the details:
“We would like to inform you of the results of the last 24 hours regarding the current situation of the spread of COVID-19 and the tracing or epidemiological investigation of the patients.
“During the last 24 hours, 270 persons were tested and 16 positive cases were confirmed, of which 9 in Tirana, 5 in Kruja, 1 case in Shkodra and 1 case in Berat.
“Over the past 24 hours, another 24 patients have been added to the list of recovered, bringing the total number of those cured from COVID-19 to 455.
“Of the 281 actively ill patients, only 10% are being treated in the two “COVID” hospitals, while about 90% of them are in self-isolation with mild or no symptoms”.
