Covid-19 update/ Rises to 64 number of affected in Albania

The number of those infected with the covid-19 virus has reached 64 in the country, as of Thursday 19th of March .
Director of the Public Health Institute, Albana Fico, briefed on the situation of COVID-19 epidemic in Albania:
“I inform that in the last 24 hours 32 suspected cases have been tested, of which 5 new cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed:
– 3 of them are Italian nationals currently living in Albania
– the other two are an 80-year-old man, and a 42-year-old man from Kavaja
“To date 697 suspected cases were tested and 64 are confirmed positive with COVID-19:
So far, two cases of loss of life have been recorded
There are 32 hospitalized patients in the Infectious Diseases.
“3 patients are on intensive therapy, but none of them are on artificial respiration therapy. While the rest are in stable condition up to this moment”, stated Fico.
