Berisha: I will be in the race for the leader of DP, time for the Democrats to unite

From the headquarters of the Democratic Party, Berisha told reporters that he shook hands with his acting leader Alibeaj and asked him to engage in the process of uniting the Democratic Party.

Berisha: “I met and shook hands with Alibeaj and Bardhi and we discussed the problems. I asked for their involvement in the unification process. What I think is that everyone should have a dialogue and debate in the PD parliamentary group”.

Berisha added that he will be in an open race to take over the leadership of the Democratic Party: “I will be in the open competition and invite any colleague who will compete, it is welcome in a fair competition, with rules. Every deputy is free to have his own agenda of meetings and his own voters”, said Berisha.

Asked about the non-grata entitelment by the US, Berisha said that this is excessive, as the answer was given by the Democrats themselves with their vote. He said the decision was to help Edi Rama.

“The moment a single fact or document is published, a single proof that I or my children have benefited from public assets, I make every decision against myself, otherwise I remain a proud Albanian, unwavering,” he added.
