While waiting to receive his term as the next Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, the leader and founder of the Self-Determination Movement, is being careful with his declarations, especially as regards the government of Albania.

In an interview for the Voice of America, Kurti was asked about the agreement signed by Albania, Serbia and Northern Macedonia about the so-called Balkan mini-Schengen.

The Self-Determination leader did not express a specific stance on this project but said that Tirana should see Serbia through the eyes of Kosovo.

“These countries have free movement. Kosovo hasn’t received this yet. I am sure that regarding the visa liberalization, it is essential to have the Special Prosecution. The visa liberalization will not be brought by the new government, but by the activity of the new Special Prosecution. I plan to meet with the Albanian government in order to see more carefully what this is about. But I think that it is very important for Kosovo to be present in these initiatives because Serbia must be seen by official Tirana through the eyes of Kosovo”, Kurti declared.
