Enver Hoxhaj, from the Democratic Party of Kosovo, after attending the
consultative meeting of his party, declared that Kadri Veseli will be
appointed Speaker on August 24th, while the new government will be
formed soon.
Hoxhaj said in a press conference that the Parliament must now work hard for resolving the issues of border demarkation, visa liberalization, establishing the Kosovo Army and review the law for religious freedom.
“On February 17th 2018, it will 10 years from the day when Kosovo declared independence. I am interested to know if Kosovo will be able to be a UN member in the years to come, if it will receive the EU candidate status and if it will have its own army to become a NATO member”, Hoxhaj said.
When asked if they have secured votes from the New Kosovo Alliance party, he said: “I have no information if Behgjet Pacolli has received the post of Foreign Minister”, he added.
