The Munella forest, once a national asset, has suffered a real attack that has caused deforestation of the entire area.
After the government warned of a moratorium to ban forest tree cutting, firms have increased their work intensively. Only the police presence has reduced the flux.
Witnesses say that abusers cut trees and take them when the police leaves. Besides the damage done to the vegetation, the area has no wild animal left around.
