800 hundred residents of Hajdaraj village, Elbasan district, have been
lacking of drinking water for three weeks. They have started a protest,
saying that although they pay regularly the drinking water bills, the
Aqueduct doesn’t provide them with proper services.

The pump that supplies the Aqueduct with drinking water has been hit by a thunder and has stopped working. The residents declared that the little amount of water that they receive is much polluted.

For fulfilling their minimal needs, the residents use the water of the wells and natural springs, but there is no guarantee for their health.

Some of them have insufficient financial sources to buy drinking water.

They threatened to block the main roads if this urgent problem will not be solved.
