World Urban Forum: Tirana, one of three cities with most changes

Mayor Erion Veliaj attended a two-day visit in Kuala Lumpur, as a guest in this forum.

“I am very happy that Tirana was chosen as one of the three cities with most changes last year at the Urban World Forum. I am very proud of this. I am also aware that we have still a lot of work to do, but today it was a great opportunity to show that by joining effort with the entire community, starting from children and to the retired persons, we can have the city of our dreams”, Veliaj said.

The Mayor declared that the World Urban Forum was a great opportunity to talk about the way how Tirana has been able to realize great projects in a short time, including the involvement of businesses and other actors.

“It was a great possibility to talk about how we have realized great projects in a short time, such as the Skenderbej Square, the New Market, New Boulevard and many infrastructure works”, he explained.
