Server: Borders have war history

The Chief of the American Institute for Peace, Daniel Server, expressed
his conviction against the ideas for a Greater Albania and Kosovo
division.

In an interview for RTK, Server declared that border divisions have a history of wars in the past, which, according to him, must not be repeated.

“I’m not sure if there will be war, but I can say that histories of such ethno-territorial divisions are history of wars. Many people say that the Europeans have created their national states: the French are French, Italians are Italians. It is true, but only after several wars”, Server declared.

According to him, changing borders would affect the entire region, because not everyone would agree with the new map.

“We are in the 21st century, and we try to not make things through wars. But when you start drawing new maps, it is impossible to have all parties agree with them. It’s better to leave the maps how they are and change the status of some borders, as it is the case with Kosovo”, the analyst declared.
