Paraplegics interrupt hunger strike

On the ninth day of the hunger strike, tetra and paraplegics surrendered to the governmental silence.
Their deteriorated health conditions and the lacking of a negotiation with the government has forced the strikers to release a joint declaration, appealing to the Prime Minister and the Government to implement the laws of the Albanian state.
“I want to say to the government that we entered the hunger strike for our rights, which are economic rights. Their silence is a challenge for us. I want to say to the Prime Minister that we started this strike to tell him that we are part of this country, and we want to be equal amongst equals”, said the striker Mybere Prizreni.
One day ago, the British embassy reacted on their support, while no the state has sent no representatives to negotiate with this group of strikers.
