The Kosovo Minister of Infrastructure, Fehmi Mujota, declared that the
first 28 kilometers of the nation’s highway in Kosovo will be opened
during this month.

Speaking about the project, he underlined that a considerable part has already been finished, costing almost 225 million EUR.

Mujota added in front of the Parliamentary Commission of Economy that by the end of the year, the Ministry will realize 100% of the investments predicted for 2011.

However, the Minister avoided answering to the Self-Determination Movement representative, Mr Ymeri, who asked him about the real cost of the works.

The members of the Commission for Economy and Infrastructure raised several questions regarding the work progress, not only for the Nation’s Highway, but also for other roads in Kosovo, where the works have been facing a stalemate for many years now.

By the end of the meeting with the Parliamentary Commission, Mujota submitted the project of another highway that will connect Prishtina with Skopje.
