Some days after the publishing of the final OSCE-ODIHR report about
May 8th local elections in Albania, the US Ambassador, Alexander Arvizu gave a
press release after meeting the Albanian Minister of Culture, Aldo Bumçi.
Arvizu declared that the OSCE-ODIHR report gives a very clear picture of the elections in Albania. According to the US diplomat, it is very necessary for Albania to make an Electoral Code reform.
“OSCE-ODIHR report is clear and complete. The electoral reform is indispensable. It is time for a deep reform, and this was clearly stated in the OSCE-ODIHR final report. The Electoral Code has many gaps to be filled”, Arvizu declared.
