After several protests, the artists of the National Theater have escalated their initiative.
Through a petition that will be deposited this Wednesday at the Ministry of Culture, they want to declare the theater a culture monument of second category.
This would freeze the status of the National Thater for six months, giving artists more time to save the building from demolition, for the building of a new one.
Artists say that the Ministry is forced by law to review the request and freeze the status of the building for six months, until a decision is taken.
