While introducing the DP candidate for the Mayor of Tirana, Roland Bejko, the formal leader of the opposition DP Enkelejd Alibeaj has accused Rama of cooperating with Berisha and Meta to annihilate the Democratic Party.
During his speech, Alibeaj said that the democrats demand the overthrow of this “regime” as soon as possible, the shortening of the days of this government and its overthrow.
The chairman of the Democratic Party called on citizens to vote for Bejko, as it is a candidacy that honors this race for all the contribution it has made to the Democratic Party, and all the values it represents.
“Our party is under aggression from the Socialist Party, the successor of the former Albanian communist party, headed by a mafia prime minister like Edi Rama, a political shopkeeper like Ilir Meta, along with Sali Berisha, the former chairman of the DP and the former prime minister of Albania, now a persona non-grata from our major ally the USA”.
“The Democratic Party and every one of its sympathizers has been under multiple aggressions. Political aggression, media aggression, legal aggression, even physical aggression.
“The dinosaurs of old politics Edi Rama, Sali Berisha and Ilir Meta cannot accept that there is a political force outside their personal control”, Alibeaj added.
“The media and political camp of Sali Berisha are angry because I raised a question that all Albanians ask: Where does Sali Berisha find the money for his expensive political activity?”
“Ask Erion Veliaj, the oligarchs which he represents, and there you will find the answer of where this money comes from,” said Alibeaj, referring to the current head of the Tirana municipality.
“This system, therefore, the political system led by Rama, has its fundamental component element, Berisha and Meta. The political system that has clientelistic business and organized crime as its basic elements in political decision-making, it cannot do without Berisha and Meta”, he added.
