Former Fier Prosecutor sentenced for corruption

The Prosecution of Serious Crimes has sentenced to 18 months of
probation and imposed a 5-year-ban from working in the public
administration for the Fier former Prosecution, Petrit Vukaj, found
guilty for passive corruption.

Vukaj was arrested and charged during last November together with three other persons who were sentenced to 1 year and 10 months of prison.

These persons tried to influence the Fier Prosecutor to give a softer verdict against Elton Xhemali, accused of violating traffic rules with fatal consequences.
