The Democratic Party MP, Arben Ristani, announced today what he called
shocking facts for the role of the Minister of Interior, Saimir Tahiri,
and of the people appointed by him.

This report comes after the Greek media said they are trying to find the so-called “drug baron”, a trafficker with initials “K.B” who had ties with the government and directed the Transportation Office at the city of Saranda.

The initial were made public by Ristani, who says it is about Klemend Balili, who is now considered not only by the opposition, but also by the Greek authorities and international secret services as the head of a criminal drug organization, to the point of being considered the “Escobar of Balkan”.

The opposition, according to Ristani, has reported it on May 18th, 2014, when Rama appointed Klemend Balili as Director of Transportation in the city of Saranda. Balili, according to the DP, was arrested on July 2006 with 750 kg of cannabis.

Ristani added that Balili is known for his strong political ties, since he sponsored the electoral campaign of the SP in 2013. He said that the cousins of Minister Tahiri, the Habilaj, are the people he had ties with.

The Democratic Party also mentioned other names of police officers, such as Albert Pata, former Director of the Special Operational Forces; Perlat Cullhaj, Director of the Durres Police; Jaert Celaj, Director of the Vlora Police; Aranit Arapi, Director of the Gjirokaster Police, and the former Border Director of Vlora, Kastriot Skenderi, who was caught in 2015, at the Kakomea area, with a truck carrying 1 ton of cannabis.
