After the new stadium “Elbasan Arena”, the Albanian football national
team will now have its mascot in every match. Gert Izeti, who created
this mascot, says that even if it is the bird of an eagle, it portrays
the Albanian character.
Izet says that this is just a show element that aims to reduce the tension of fans in the stadium.
This is an idea of the Digitalb platform, which has signed an agreement for sponsoring the Albanian National Football Team for two years, and they have decided to add another symbol to the stadium.
“The request of Digitalb was to be authentic and preserve our symbol, the agle. We chose this eagle bird and called it Shqipja”, Ized says.
The mascot will be shown for the first tim in the Digital Arena, a show that the Digitalb platform will organize in the center of Elbasan before the match. After that, Shqipja will go through the stadium in front of 12.000 fans.
