Opposition leader: “Bureau of Investigation is urgently needed”

In the Parliamentary Group meeting, the opposition leader, Lulzim Basha,
started discussing the justice reform by saying that Prime Minister
Rama fears its approval since he needs more than ever corrupted judges,
being involved in hundreds of millions of Euros through concessions.

Basha spoke about the National Bureau of Investigation, an institution for which the DP accused the majority of not wanting to pass it, although it was the government itself that proposed it since the elections of 2013. Basha authorized the DP Parliamentary Group leader, Edi Paloka, to demand the Parliament to pass the law with an accelerated procedure. This institution is expected to fight corruption in higher levels, and is sponsored by the USA, based on the FBI model.
