Wounded policeman comes out of coma

Police officer Preng Lleshi has come out of the coma a few hours ago at the Military Hospital.

He will undergo other detailed and expensive operations for his limbs, but now he is only trying to remember what happened one week ago in a police checkpoint in Kama, where his colleague Selman Lena was killed.

“We were at a checkpoint with our phosphorescent clothes. I don’t remember the details. I’ve been working with the police for 15 years and the checkpoint was in order. The signs were also in order”, Lleshi declared.

For Preng Lleshi, what happened could have been more a fatal accident than a murder. However, this is just a preliminary declaration since the officer doesn’t remember everything.

In fact, no one had told Selman Lena that his friend died that night.

Eduard Koleci has been arrested by the police on murder in qualified circumstances charges, after he failed to stop at the Kamza police checkpoint. He hit the two police officers with his vehicle and then fled the scene. The defendant declared that he was drunk and he was driving very fast.
