A horrible crime took place today in Durres. Two senior women were killed by suffocation inside their homes.
Gjinovefa and Elsa Vava, 70 and 75, lived in the second floor of a building in the city.
The women were found tied and with a plastic bag on their head. The cause of death was found to be asphyxiation.
Another paralyzed senior woman lives in the apartment below them. She said that she didn’t hear or see anything during the night, when the shocking crime took place.
Police suspect it may be a robbery, and for now they are interrogating everyone that knew the ladies, neighbors and relatives, together with residents who live close and have precedents of theft and drug usage.
The house where the women lived was also the cause of a long fight between the relatives who own it.
