334 people lost their lives last year due to road accidents.
Disrespecting the traffic rules and the lack of traffic signs have
caused 1870 harsh accidents through the country for one year.

And this hasn’t happened only in highways. Albanians also lack of the traffic education even with the white stripes on pedestrian crossing areas. Some young students, in cooperation with the UN Agency and the State Police, are showing the traffic rules importance by giving a priority to pedestrians on the zebra crossing.

A taxi driver says that when you are driving, it looks like pedestrian walk chaotically, and when you walk, it looks like cars are driven chaotically. This means that both parties do not respect the laws.

Carelessness and violation of the traffic rules are the most common cause for the death of 1.3 million people each year throughout the world and the injuring of 50 million others.

The official data show how one quarter of a million of people have lost their lives by as pedestrians.
