“Yes, we need a Parliamentary investigation for the level of our diplomacy and our representatives in the world.”

This was the phrase used by the New Democratic Spirit leader, Bamir Topi, who considered this initiative another abuse of the Parliament by the majority. He brought his experience as former President, to show how this majority has politicized the diplomacy.

“Our so-called ambassadors refused to welcome the Albanian President in the capitals of Western Europe. Their offices did not have the photograph of the President. This needs to be investigated. Albania is not the domain of one single person. The role of the Parliament is also to see the appointments which come as a proposition from the government, from the so-called commissions, where functions only the will of a simple majority”, Topi declared.

As a former high rank official of the Democratic Party, Bamir Topi declared that this is a denaturalization of the Democratic Party, since the institutions are not being treated in a democratic way.

“The Albania Parliament might be the most accredited institution. The people who lead this Parliament have nothing to do with democracy. They can raise the two fingers and shout all day long that they are democrats, but they are not. The result of this behavior is the difficult situation of the institution, which are filled only with militants of one side”, Topi declared.

The New Democratic Spirit leader considered the opposition led by the Socialist Party as fictive and absent. He added that the alternative of the New Democratic Spirit brings the citizens’ voice and protects their interests.
