The Socialist Party “Revival Bus” drove to Berat, with the Socialist
Party leader, Edi Rama and the other candidates who gave a press
conference on board of the bus.

Rama declared that the campaign is going well, although it hasn’t entered the most dynamic moment.

Rama says that the Berat district has a special importance for the Alliance for European Albania, since the opposition aims to receive 6 mandates from that area.

Rama was also asked by journalists why Brace was not running in Fier any more.

“Brace is on the front line of a very important electoral battle in Fier, where we also aim to receive the maximum. For this reason Brace is in Berat, together with Gramoz Ruci, Eglantina Gjermeni, Armando Subashi, Ilirjan Celibashi and the entire Fier team. We are a national team and everyone is positioned there where the common interests of our team require it”, Rama declared.

As for those who think that the number of businessmen who run for government posts at the Socialist Party has increased, Rama replied:

“There’s an essential difference between those who are businessmen and become politicians, and those who become politicians then businessmen. The businessmen included in the Socialist Party running list have not been politicians before being businessmen. Now we have the entire government turned into a lucrative company for these people who left Albania broke. The Socialist Party has an alliance with the businessmen, and I don’t like those opponents who oppose the inclusion of businessmen in politics. Time showed that the businessmen who were involved with the Socialist Party faced many years in opposition with dignity, despite the mafia-style criminal attacks from the government”.

As for the media, Rama declared that the time of privileged operators is over and the Socialists will not use the state budget to feed supporting media outlets.
