SP: Problems with voters’ lists

The Socialist Party says that the voters’ list that is planned by the
Interior Ministry keeps having technical problems related with suspected
doubled names who still don’t have an address code. The details were
made public by the Socialist Party Vice Secretary for Electoral Matters,
Bledi Cuci.

“Our experts have found 25.874 suspected doubled names in the June 23rd elections lists. The second serious problem is related with the electors who still appear in the voters’ list without an accurate address. The most recent number is 352.337 electors”, Cuci declared.

According to Cuci, the most problematic district is still Tirana, with 87.000 voters, followed by Vlore with 84.178; Shkoder with 38.827 and Korce with 27.593. Despite these problems, Cuci says for the Socialist Party that everyone with a doubled name or without address have been identified.

But what will happen on the June 23rd elections?

“The Socialist Party has a detailed information about the 25.874 doubled voters. We know about the list where they are, the list where they are registered fictively; we know how many of them have received the identity card, at what voting center they are registered and what family they come from. We have full information and we guarantee that none of these electors will not be able to vote more than once on the June 23rd elections”, Cuci declared.
