The Socialist Party accused the government of manipulating the
emigrants’ vote. According to MP Tahiri, the Democratic Party is offering
free plane tickets through plane companies under their control,
with the condition that emigrants should vote the Democratic Party.
“The family relatives of Berisha’s power are cooperating with the Belle Air company, the most spectacular monopoly of Lulzim Basha, and are offering free tickets to emigrants and students, obliging them to vote for Sali Berisha and prove this by photographing their vote. Berisha must be clear that the Socialist Party’s commissioners and observers, and also the Socialist Party supporters, will not allow anyone to photograph the vote and no one will be allowed to violate the procedure, as predicted in the electoral law”, Tahiri declared.
