More than 250.000 citizens, military men, doctors, nurses and teachers,
might have their retirement pension at risk. For more than eight years,
they have been lied by the government, since their insurance has never
been paid.
This fraud that has went on for the past eight years has been reported by the Minister of Social Welfare, Erion Veliaj, who sid that the 109 million USD debt now has to be paid by the respective ministries and institutions.
“The total number of persons whose social insurance has not been paid mounts up to 53060. This situation has put at risk a total of 250.000 Albanian citizens, 1407 of them work in public institutions and 51.653 in private ones”, declared the Minister of Social Welfare.
The ones who have been defrauded are the military men, national guard workers, doctors, teachers and ALUIZNI and even Social Insurance employees.
“The Ministry of Welfare, then called the Ministry of Labor, for eight years have not paid the social insurance. What makes this situation more ridiculous, is that the biggest debt were created by the Social Insurance Institution and the Employment Inspectorate, which has to check others if they pay insurance to their employees or not”, Veliaj declared.
There are 1500 social institutions that for eight years have defrauded thousands of officials by stealing their money and putting their retirement pension at risk.
