The Albanian Prime Minister, Sali Berisha, visited the town of Fushe
Kruje, where the ring-road has just been built. The Prime Minister held a
speech in which he focused on employment and the economic government
reforms which, according to him, aim to increase the citizens’ welfare
and turn Albania into a developed country.
The Prime Minister declared that thanks to the reforms of his government, Albania was able to avoid recession and save thousands of jobs.
“Every Albanian is invited on the June 23rd elections to vote for employment. Our alternative is the alternative of employment. During these years, while other countries saw a doubled unemployment figure, Albania had the unemployment rate slightly decreasing. Naturally that the crisis consequences affected our economy too, but our reforms turned to be a success story in a time of trouble”, Berisha declared.
The Prime Minister says that the Democratic Party is looking for the citizens’ vote because they not only have kept their promises, but they also have a program that guarantees development, including the realization of two major energy projects, the Trans Adriatic Pipeline and the Devoll Cascade.
“We don’t want the citizens’ vote for what we have done, but for what we will do in the next four years. We want the citizens’ vote because in the next four years we will guarantee 250.000 new jobs, and if during these years we doubled wages and pensions, now we will increase them even more”, Berisha declared.
For The Albanian Prime Minister, Sali Berisha, the June 23rd elections are decisive for the realization of Albania’s European project, which has been blocked by Edi Rama only for his personal interests, according to Berisha.
