Relatives of the patriot and former Prime Minister, Hasan Prishtina,
with the support of a group of intellectuals from Kosovo, Macedonia and
Albania, have sent a letter to the Albanian President, Bujar Nishani,
asking that his remains should be reburied in the Tirana cemetery.
Mehmet Prishtina, grand nephew of Hasan Prishtina, explained in an interview for Top Channel the reasons of this request.
One example for him is the reburial of King Zog. The same honors should be done for Hasan Prishtina.
“The remains of Hasan Prishtina were transported from Thessaloniki to Kukes in 1977. They should be brought to Tirana, with a ceremony organized by the Albanian state, same as it was done with King Zog. Hasan Prishtina is a former Prime Minister and ideologist of the Albanian state, and his place is in Tirana”, declared Mehmet Prishtina.
