Ettore Sequi, European Union Ambassador to Tirana, started this week
with a 30-minute meeting at the Socialist Party Headquarters with the
Prime Minister designate, Edi Rama, discussing the last details of
Rama’s visit in Brussels.

Rama and Sequi considered this visit as very important and that is about to give a new impulse to the developments that are related to the integration processes.

“Certainly that we will discuss about the further progress of the European integration process in function of an Albania that can become a decent member of this Union, and also a European country here, on our homeland, with all the laws and institutions that offer the right services. This is a very important moment, the train of Europe which keeps getting away from us and our efforts are for catching it as soon as possible and for entering a new phase of the European integration process”, Rama declared.

The main European diplomat gave the details of Rama’s meeting in Brussels.

“We had a fruitful meeting in which I had the chance to introduce to the Prime Minister designate all the meetings that will be held during his future visit in Brussels with all chiefs of Lady Ashton. This is a very important visit. We are very happy and excited that this first visit of Mr.Rama outside Albania will be held in Brussels. This is the evidence that proves the importance that the new government gives to the European Union integration process”, Sequi declared.

Sequi underlines that during the conversation, the Prime Minister designate has expressed the determination and commitment of this government in Albania’s European Union path.

“We trust that with this determination, progress will be on the right track”, Rama declared.
