On the first day of the Electoral Campaign, the Socialist Party leader,
Edi Rama, held a meeting with the farmers of the Rrashbull commune, in
Durres, where he introduced the candidates Ilir Beqja and Shkelqim
Troplini.
“We decided to concentrate on the Albanian farms. After 22 years of abandonment, we will put the government’s hand on the countryside and will support it with all our strength. We will remove excise on petroleum, we will remove the circulation tax on petroleum and for productive activities, petroleum will have other prices. We will invest 160 million dollars for irrigation, and will remove the 20% tax for chemicals and machineries”, Rama declared.
The residents asked Rama about the land property titles.
“The Democratic and Republican parties have been taking your votes for 20 years, saying that they will resolve the property issue. We will resolve the property issue within four years, and everyone who has been working for the last 20 years with a piece of land which is not theirs yet, will finally receive the property titles. With Berisha there is no legalization. He needs as you are, without legalized properties, so that he can have you behind his back all the time”, Rama declared
“Those who became owners of hundreds of hectares of coastal land, while their grandfathers saw the mountains and not the say, they will return that land to the legitimate owners who can prove their ownership with historic documents and not false certificates”, Rama declared.
