The Socialist Party leader, Edi Rama, met with the Don Bosko residents
in Tirana and promised more safety and public order, underlining that
crime has brought our country to anarchy.
“Our solemn promise is to reestablish the State Police on their duties within 300 days. Who touches a citizen has touched the Albanian state. Who touches the property of a family has touched the state, and will face the Albanian state”, Rama declared.
Rama promised to remove VAT for five basic foods and reduce the electric power price.
“One KW of energy and one kilogram of flour have a 20% tax that goes to the state. We will remove the VAT for five basic food products and will reduce the VAT for energy to 6%”, Rama promised.
According to the Socialist Party leader, Edi Rama, voting the left wing on the June 23rd elections means having a new government by your side.
“Voting the Socialist Party on the June 23rd elections means seeing transformations that will be bigger than what we have done. I know Tirana very well and I am very clear on what it needs. It will be a national government with clear ideas about the capital’s needs”, Rama added.
By the end of the meeting a Democratic Party member tore his party membership card by promising his vote to Rama.
Rama: I will lead legalizations myself
The opposition leader had a meeting with the “Fusha e Aviacionit” residents in Tirana, for more than one hour.
Focusing on education, Rama said that Berisha gave only one option to the youth: universities and only universities, without a job market. He added that the Socialist Party offers universities or professions, different from Berisha.
Rama continued his conversation by focusing on the property titles.
“The property titles are a key issue made of three elements: owners, property returns and how will compensations be done, and how were they done so far; and also farmers who don’t have the property titles, families that don’ have built homes but do not have a property title. When that real estate becomes yours, the entire cycle of this capital and that of your life will change. The legalization issue is related with our Economic Revival plan, and we will start the legalization process right away, and I will be leading it personally. We do not tell fairy tales. For that we have the grandfather with a bulletproof vest”, Rama declared.
Rama explained the significance of participating in the June 23rd elections and how taxation is one of the main pillars of the Socialist Party program.
“It is very important for people to understand a very big difference between us and Berisha. Berisha lies to take votes, but for us you are not electors. You are people and this means that everyone must benefit. We will do everything to decrease the living cost for retired people and families. We will reduce taxes for 95% of the Albanian population”, Rama declared.
