Rama: No one should touch the elections

29/04/2013 00:00

The opposition leader, Edi Rama, declared that the Central Election
Commission should be rebuild and that the current one is merely an
instrument on the hands of the family in power.

“The Central Election Commission should be reformed, but they can enter the elections with this Central Election Commission, if they want. Those who damage the elections will be held responsible for their acts. Whoever will try to touch our victory will have to pay the price”, Rama declared.

The Socialist Party leader declared that the coalition with the Socialist Movement for Integration is a long-term objective.

“The agreement with the Socialist Movement for Integration is well detailed and publicly signed on a 15 point basis”, Rama declared, adding that the Socialist Party is working for their list of candidates who will run in the June 23rd elections.

Another point that concerned Rama in the beginning of this meeting was the one brought by a World Bank report about the high level of functional illiteracy among the Albanian 15-year-old students.

“The World Bank brought the illiteracy level, while the government denies the published facts. The education system has failed, and we are determined to repair this”, Rama declared.

While the Parliament passed the Investigative Commission against Rama for the so aclled Vienna incident, the opposition leader declared that the Democrats are showing through this act that their party is getting ruined each day more.
