The Socialist Party leader, Edi Rama, declared that the Central Election
Commission and the Electoral College will not be able to modify the
verdict of the June 23rd elections.
“The Central Election Commission is not an independent institution, but an organization of the Democratic Party. They took it with violence and they can keep it. Lefteri’s Central Election Commission and Berisha’s Electoral College will not be able to overthrow the sovereign will of the Albanian people, who will express their vote with a deep, clear and convincing victory. They will only make a formal certification of the victory that will reach 77-80 Parliament Members. The independents go to Berisha’s benefit, with or without their awareness. Every vote that is against the government and doesn’t come to our coalition, makes the government profit from it”, Rama declared.
As for the dismissal of the three generals, Rama declared that this is a brutal action in the procedure that is ruining the army.
Legalization, Rama: An important issue
Rama considered the Democratic Party promises for legalizing properties at the Kashar Commune as a mere propaganda, and that this is why this government should be punished with vote.
“I have a letter that is being distributed by the Kashar commune, which is telling people that their houses will be legalized two weeks after the elections. The legalization issue is part of the property titles issue. We are aware that the property issue has arrived on a difficult point recently, and it must be resolved, if we want Albania to develop normally. If the property issue is not resolved, every program or speech is just propaganda. I think that this government should be punished with vote for turning the property issue into propaganda and did nothing to resolve it. The legalization issue is an important part of the property title issue”, Rama declared.
