ODIHR starts working but suspicions rise

When asked by Top Channel about her career in nine different countries, and if during that time she had faced a similar case to Albania’s, with 3 resigned Central Election Commission member, Mrs.McCormack declared:

“This is a very smart way to make us talk about this topic. We have just started working. I have been in countries where the Central Election Commission has been immediately constituted in much more controversial conditions. This situation doesn’t seem to change and this makes us be reserved in our comments”, declared Conny McCormack, main observer of the ODIHR mission.

Conny McCormack, who has studied journalism at the Penn State University, and then at Public Relations and Politics at the Miami University, including a PhD in Political Science, preferred to not answer to all the questions by herself.

When asked by the Voice of America about who would be the first announcer of the report, she or Roberto Battelli from the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, Mrs.Cormack preferred to leave the answer to an ODIHR analyst.

“We are informed about the arrival of other delegations, such as the OSCE Parliamentaryb Assembly. As always, ODIHR is ready to cooperate with the other delegations, same as it has done in the past with the Parliamentary Elections in Albania. As regards the preliminary report and the processing, it is done by every member of the delegation. We are ready to start cooperating with them”, declared Steve Martin, ODIHR analyst.

The main ODIHR observer in Tirana declared that her mission is not to make the referee or declare that the June 23rd elections are legitimate or not, because this is up to the Albanians.

McCormack started her first day by meeting the Foreign Minister, Aldo Bumci, and the four remaining Central Election Commission members.
