The Shkoder Regional hospital is facing a lack of medicine. The Hospital
Director and doctors do not confirm, but the patients’ relatives say
that they are obliged to buy everything in pharmacies.
“There is no medicine for the hospital We have to pay everything from our pockets. You can die in hospitals if you can’t buy the medicine”, a citizen says.
“My wife is in very bad conditions. I’m going to buy all the medicine, while I live with my retirement fund and cannot afford them”, another citizen says.
The lack of medicine is confirmed even by pharmacists near hospitals, who confirm that there is a sensible increase of medicine prices, especially serum.
