The Albanian former President, Alfred Moisiu, declared that the
situation created at the Central Election Commission is putting the June
23rd elections in danger. He asked the current President, Bujar
Nishani, to intervene and resolve this situation.
“I am pessimistic on this situation. We need state intervention, which now must make the referee with politicians”, Mojsiu declared from the city of Vlore.
The former President underlined that the June 23rd elections have a special importance for Albania. He asked the Albanian electorate to get emancipated and make politicians to be accountant for what they have done to the people.
“Our politicians are materialists and want to keep their power at any cost. But the power is given by the people and the people’s vote. I cannot be taken through violence”, Moisiu declared.
