During a meeting with Shkoder businessmen, the Socialist Movement for
Integration leader, Ilir Meta, declared that in the conditions of a
difficult economy, more importantly than finding a new way of taxation
is implementing a new economic model that is based on the local
production and exports.
“For us it is immediate to discuss a new economic model before discussing taxes. This model is based not only on consumption, but also on the domestic production and even more on an economy that not only produces, but also exports. This is the safest way for a stable national economy and a stable employment”, Meta declared.
The Socialist Movement for Integration leader mentioned the payment of debts that the government owes to private businesses for public works, saying that they will introduce a concrete solution for resolving this issue.
Another concerning issue for the business, according to Meta, was the unreimbursed VAT, for which Meta proposed an automatic reimbursement.
