Patients with chronic renal insufficiency who are treated through
dialysis, hepatitis and talasemic who had to travel to Tirana for their
medicine, will now have the available in their regional hospitals.
There are more than 1300 patients who are treated with expensive medicaments.
“The talasemic patients are more frequent in Lushnje. They will have these medicaments available at the Lushnje hospital, although it is not a regional hospital. For the two other groups there are 275 patients in total who will be treated, 110 in Tirana, while the others will receive them from regional hospitals. Even dialysis will be taken in regional hospitals”, declared the Health Minister, Ilir Beqaj.
Minister Beqaj underlined that the regional hospitals have been supplied with these medicaments in order to make it easier for patients to access them.
