On the 100th anniversary of the Albanian justice system, dozens of
residents who were evicted from the apartments they had rented for a
long time, accused the justice of neglecting and abusing with their
interests.
After entering a hunger strike a few days ago, to protest the eviction, they addressed to the General Prosecutor, Adriatik Lalla, to help them accelerate the investigations. Their lawyer, Agon Gjedia, declared for the media that the residents have filed three lawsuits, but have received no answer.
“Several lawsuits were made against the State Police that supports the private bailiffs. We have also filed a lawsuit against Residence Entity. I don’t know what will happen, but the residents today are worse than before and have not been able to find a solution”, Gjadia declared.
For the residents, this is a clear case of document falsification in a time when the state is staying silent. A few days ago their lawyer submitted a lawsuit against the Residence Entity, asking the repealing of the Normative Act with the argument that this case is in an undergoing procedure and the bailiff’s decision should not be implemented yet.
