The Socialist Party accused the government of failing to provide
transparency for the construction of the roads after the opposition
calculated how many kilometers have been built so far by the government
of The Albanian Prime Minister, Sali Berisha, in these eight years.
“Our final calculation says that the government has built 1515 kilometers of road in total, from those with four lanes and to the rural ones, with one. We asked the government and the Prime Minister to send us the list of roads that have been built in Albania so far. There has been no serious answer, so far. The only answer came from Minister Olldashi, who said ‘take a meter and measure them’. In fact, that’s what we did and it was 1515. Now we are waiting for the government to take its own meter and publish the measurements. Mr.Ruli also answered, who declared: ‘The roads that have been built so far through the grants and the Regional Development Fund reach a total of 1500 km”, Lame declared.
