Damaged forests in Kukes

More than 30% of the forests in Kukes have been damaged by an insect
known as the “Oak Larva”, which has affected an entire belt 700 meters
above the sea level.

The alarm for the colossal damage that this insect might cause was given by the specialists who say that the entire affected area will have all its vegetation destroyed.

The phenomenon has been identified by forest specialists who say that the damaged surface is too large.

The Oak Larva is fed with forest leaves to the point of destroying the entire tree.
