After the Tirana Municipality declared that no meeting was held last
Friday at the Municipal Council, and after Njazi Kosovrasti claimed that
he is still Chairman of the Council, the left councillors reacted in a
press release, saying that the next meeting will be summoned by the
Socialist chairman, Aldrin Dalipi.
“31 councillors from the Tirana Municipal Council ask today Lulzim Basha and njazi Kosovrasti to hand over the lock that they stole on May 2nd. The council is being withheld by Basha and Kosovrasti. The council room is a public space and belongs to the Tirana citizens, not to the mayor. The Municipal Council will hold a meeting very soon, and Chairman Aldrin Dalipi will summon this meeting for the citizens of Tirana”, declared Gent Gazheli from the Socialist Party.
This issue might continue until the Courts will say the last words, and in the meanwhile, the Socialist Movement for Integration councillor, Viron Bezhani, states that besides the conflict the citizens’ interests are the ones that need to be valued.
“The problem is wider. Is a problem related to the problems of the people. You must understand that every moment has people that have more problems in the municipality and who expect a solution from the Municipal Council. The sooner, the better it will be for the Tirana citizens. There are many people in Kombinat who have not been paid. We must not forget that there are many others who are waiting for the mortgages. I hope that this problem will end soon”, Bezhani declared.
