Cherries unsold in Diber

The production of this fruit usually goes well due to the good climate of the area. Altin Mani, one of the farmers that works mostly with cherries, at the Peka village, Melan Commune, has planted 6000 square meters with 140 trees of cherries, which have just become ripe. The production is large, but it risks to get destroyed for the lack of a market.

The destroyed road that connects Peshkopia with the rest of the country is an obstacle for passing this production with a low cost in larger markets, such as Tirana or other cities. The farmer asks the state to give him the opportunity to finalize his hard work.
