Business complains: CEZ gives abusive fines

15/08/2013 00:00

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry states that the fines given by CEZ
to private companies, up to 1 million ALL, are abusive and exaggerated.

The Head of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Nikolin jaka, says that this is about bills that have been issued late by the CEZ employees and are being calculated as delay interest.

“We are concerned that CEZ is giving abusive fines for delay interest, bills that have been issued lately and now are being calculated as if the businesses should take them. This is a pressure made to the business with fines more than 1 million ALL”, Jaka declared.

Jaka says that there have been cases when these businesses have had the power supply cut but in an abusive way.

“CEZ operates through the court without notifying the subject at all. Bank accounts are blocked by an executive order and the electric power is cut”, Jaka declared.

The Chamber of Commerce asked CEZ to give up from abusive fines and improve the power supply for businesses through investments that have been missing.
