After meeting with the Albanian Prime Minister, Sali Berisha, the United
States Ambassador to Tirana gave an answer to critics and insinuations
of having a personal agenda.

Arvizu reminded to every person who disliked his declarations about the Central Election Commission, that he has arrived in Tirana after taking an oath before the United States President, rejecting this way all accusations.

“I want to underline that three years ago, when I was appointed by the White House as Ambassador to Albania, I received confirmation by the Senate as the personal delegate of the United States President. I have no personal agenda, same as all these wonderful Americans don’t have a personal agenda. We are here only to represent our country with our best efforts. This is our only dedication and promise to each one of you”, Arvizu declared.

Arvizu released this message during the oath ceremony of the Peace Corpus in Elbasan. 34 American Peace Corpus volunteers took their official oath after concluding their training, and this Friday they will start working in municipalities, communitary organizations, schools and health centers throughout the country.

Founded in 1961 by President John Kennedy, the Peace Corpus Mission aims to promote inter-cultural understanding between Americans and other people, and to contribute to the needs of the welcoming countries.
