Developments related to SHQUP building, which will be used by Democratic Party, are being closely followed by the USA.
This was confirmed by Ambassador Alexander Arvizu when asked by Top Channel if the USA is worried that’s SHQUP building is owned by two Albanians living in America and who want it back.
“I do not want to dwell on the details, but whenever it has to do with an American citizen, as in this case, is a concern for us. We all know, and I cannot think of one other such complicated issue in Albania, as the one with properties. It is really concerning for us. We are following this issue. This is all for the moment,” Arvizu said.
Ambassador Arvizu gave this statement after a two hour meeting with the future Minister of Defense, Mimi Kodheli, held at the headquarters of the Socialist Party. Mr. Arvizu preferred that Mrs. Kodheli did the comments about their meeting.
“I assured the ambassador that Albania as a member of NATO, will continue on the path of being a supporter of this important body in the right way for more peace, more security for our country and for all Member States of NATO. Certainly the ambassador and his staff expressed satisfaction for a good start working with the new government and the support they will continue to provide, as provided in the past, in all fields of national security and defence,” said Mrs. Kodheli.
