Not only sunny beaches, but also tradition, culture and local food. This
modern concept, according to the leader of the National Coastline
Agency has started with the Nivica canyons.

“We chose the Nivica canyons as a totally unknown area, completely untouched, which is a very good illustration of this concept that we are creating. It is the first time that we are implementing this model in Albania”, Tare said.

The Buna rivers will also look different, very soon.

“The second project that we are developing as a concept, and which we hope to implement next year, is opening Buna for sail boats. This would turn Shkoder into a real coastal town. Same as in old times, when Buna was navigable. You could use a sail boat from Buna and enter the Shkoder Lake, then go for alpinism at the Alps. It is a rare product offering in the Mediterranean, having the sea, rivers, lakes and mountains in one place”, Tare said.

Tare adds that this is the tourism of the future, having visitors enjoy several products in a very small geographical stretch.
