Albanian doctors perform the first cardio-surgery in the country, PM Rama: A case of success

The team of doctors of the Cardiosurgery Service at the QSUT hospital center in Tirana has successfully completed the first cardiosurgical intervention in Albania.

The news was announced by Prime Minister Edi Rama, through a post on Facebook where he writes that it is a case of success the successful completion of the complicated intervention.

“The team of doctors of the Cardiosurgery Service at QSUT has successfully completed a very complex cardiosurgical intervention, through a very efficient method: repair of the aortic valve with a sub-coronary ring according to the Lansac method.

What makes it rare is that this cardiosurgical intervention was performed for the first time in Albania. Prof Asc Altin Veshti, DSHM Klodian Krakulli, Dr Arber Aliu, Prof Asc Sajmir Kuçi and Instrumentalist Majlinda Malaj. Gratitude for your work”, writes Rama further.
